Tied to both people and place, McLaren Vale is our winemaking heartland – and home to our own 11ha vineyard, ‘The Chase’. Located in Seaview, perched atop the Onkaparinga Gorge, bordering Blewitt Springs, this austere plot contains only a foot of topsoil with ancient rocks beneath, the tough terrain consistently producing exceptional grapes.

We are drawn to the Vale’s more fragile and restrained red wines, its unique micro-climates and geology, its history, innovation and maritime roots, carefully seeking out its most distinguished, time-honoured vineyards and the families who farm them.

Only our whites lure us away – to the Clare Valley and Tasmania – Clare, for its crystalline expression of a Riesling, and across the Strait for a flavourful Chardonnay with taut natural acidity.
